“I first became aware of Sanrizz when I saw the art team present a show at the Wella Academy; I was totally impressed with their work and the way they all seemed to be having such fun on stage” explains Sharon. “So when I saw a Sanrizz recruitment I applied, hoping for a successful career and a future travelling the world with the company.”

Sharon’s ambition was quickly realised and a year after working in the Knightsbridge salon, her teaching skills were quickly recognised and she was promoted to Knightsbridge Academy Educator, from where her show work offered her first creative tours to Europe, Asia and beyond. “In the years I’ve worked for Sanrizz I’ve learnt an incredible amount and experienced so much on so many levels,” says Sharon.

Promoted to Educational Director nine years ago Sharon’s passion for teaching burns as brightly as ever. “We’ve trained thousands of hairdressers over the years and it still gives me a thrill to see people develop their skills, creativity and personality,” says Sharon. “I have an instinctive love of hairdressing and revel in teaching and cultivating the next generation of hairdressers. It’s hugely satisfying and I learn lots from the students too; I love the ‘give and take process.” Sharon is also Manager of the Sanrizz St. Albans salon two days a week, she feels this keeps her feet well and truly grounded with the day-to-day talent management of her team and overseeing business targets. “I believe my management role has been an essential element in my tutoring success, it gives me genuine empathy with younger people attending our courses as well as adding valuable business application for salon owners. Sharon is regularly demonstrating at shows such as Salon International, Pro Hair, London Live, St Albans Fashion Week and numerous events in other countries, confidently handling international audiences – “it’s been an amazing learning curve, working for Sanrizz brings out the best in you, driving you to always do better.”

Colour and Cutting are clearly Sharon’s passions and she is a key contributor to the design and creation of the inspirational Sanrizz photographic collections and design of the indepth Sanrizz Technical Manual, working very closely with the other members of the Sanrizz Art Team. Sharon took the lead with a new project “Sanrizz Colour World”, an ingenious bible for clients that helps to explain, in layman’s terms, the extensive benefits of colouring techniques available in the Sanrizz Salons. No two weeks are the same for Sharon, with her impeccable skills and reputation she is constantly in demand, and always seems to find time to support the team around her. In the last six months alone she has taken part in the UK Wella Insights Tour, judged another salon group’s internal team competition and appeared on stage with the Sanrizz Network in Milan, Rome and London.

Looking to the future Sharon’s passionate about continuing her development work with new Sanrizz colour and exciting about a new focus on the St Albans Salon, developing new and stronger ties with the local community. What do they say?

“If you want something done ask a busy person”.

Laura is also an integral part of the Sanrizz Art Team and helps to brainstorm the new collections with concept ideas, preparing story boards, researching trends and interpreting new cutting techniques into easy-to-teach content including the popular step-by- step material for Sanrizz DVD’s and cutting manuals. Attending the regular photoshoot’s and watching her ideas work on real models is one of Laura’s highlights, which regularly brings the opportunity to demonstrate on stage at International shows “I just love people and my job gets better every day, I cant imagine working anywhere else.
